David Maxon married his wife Connie in the summer of 1979; they now have six children and 24 grandchildren, the joy of their lives. Their land in Northern New York has been in the family for seven generations, continuing a deep legacy traced back to the Mayflower settlers and John Maxson, the first non-native child born in Rhode Island in 1638.
David's passion for construction began in childhood when he helped his father renovate their ancestral home, built in 1820. Watching his dad expertly handle electrical work, plumbing, HVAC and general construction, David grew up assuming these comprehensive skills came as second nature to everyone. He later realized just how unique and valuable this hands-on education truly was.
David attended SUNY Jefferson, initially studying math and science before earning an A.A.S. in Business Administration. This pivot fueled his entrepreneurial drive, providing a strong foundation in finance, accounting, marketing, business law, and general management.
A natural entrepreneur, David started his first business specializing in commercial photography and custom design, before pivoting to web hosting and design. During this time, he also taught photography to industry professionals. In the early 1990s, he was COO of a high-speed microwave Internet startup in Syracuse, NY; he then honed his customer service skills managing the Ontario Place Hotel in Sackets Harbor for 15 years. His entrepreneurial vision led him to found The Escape Works, a five-star-rated escape room business — for which he personally constructed all of the rooms and custom props.

David has relied on his extensive construction skills throughout his life. Working as a general contractor, he renovated a boutique hotel, office complexes, designed and constructed several apartments. He built his own home from the ground up, handling the framing, electrical, plumbing, and installation of a geothermal heating system. Beyond his local work, David has also traveled extensively overseas as a volunteer on construction projects with John Wicks.
Today, he brings this vast experience to his current role as project manager for a multimillion-dollar church construction project at Airport Christian Fellowship in Dexter, NY
