Robert Muncy serves as the CEO of Foundations Builders International. He and his wife Linda have been married for 40 years; have three children Jenifer the oldest precedes them in death having lost her life in a car accident in 2001, Heather Landis and her husband Nate live close by, owning and operating an aluminum fabrication and welding business specializing in marine applications. They have two children. Joshua, Robert and Linda's youngest and his wife Kaila also live in the lower Delaware area. Josh works as a salesman for All Span a local steel truss fabrication business, and Kaila owns a message and yoga studio.
Robert has always had a keen entrepreneurial interest not only in his enterprises but also to help others develop their business skills and successes. He is retired from The State of Delaware Department of Transportation, after 24 years of service starting as a heavy equipment mechanic, went to college at night to gain his associates degree from Delaware Technical and Community College in Architectural and Engineering Technology. His employment with the State progressed to working as the instrument man on a survey crew, serving in the engineering squad of the Real Estate Section where he oversaw plan development of the Real Estate plans for the acquisition. He also assisted the attorneys in eminent domain cases. In his last five years with the State, he was part of a newly created value engineering group that reviewed all state projects to ensure the most efficient construction methods were being employed in the design. Throughout this time Robert managed real estate development projects, mainly on the family farm in Sussex County, Delaware. He also invested in rental properties both residential and commercial. Many of the business properties Robert still oversees as part of his family's corporation.
Through all the various employment experiences, he has always maintained the interest in helping others develop their skills and advance their successes. He has also contributed for many years with different projects in Brazil aiding a medical clinic that operated in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. The years since the earthquake in Haiti in 2010, Robert has partnered with various individuals and groups to help establish vocational training to improve the building and construction quality in Haiti by training the local builders in construction skills according to The International Building Code, as well as teaching proper business skills and money management. It was through the work in Haiti that Robert met John Wicks and the genesis of Foundation Builders International was birthed.
