Director

Delaware

Robert Muncy serves as the CEO of Foundations Builders International. He and his wife Linda have been married for 40 years; they have three children. Jennifer, the oldest, precedes them in death, having lost her life in a car accident in 2001. Heather Landis and her husband Nate live close by, owning and operating an aluminum fabrication and welding business specializing in marine applications. They have two children. Joshua, Robert, Linda's youngest, and his wife Kaila live in the lower Delaware area. Joshua is the principal owner of The Restoration Group, and Kaila owns a massage and yoga studio. They have one daughter.

Robert has always had a keen entrepreneurial interest in his enterprises and in helping others develop their business skills and successes. He retired from The State of Delaware Department of Transportation after 24 years of service, starting as a heavy equipment mechanic. He went to college at night to gain his associate degree in architectural and engineering technology from Delaware Technical and Community College. His employment with the State progressed to working as the instrument man on a survey crew, serving in the engineering squad of the Real Estate Section, where he oversaw the development of the Real Estate plans for the acquisition. He also assisted the attorneys in eminent domain cases. In his last five years with the State, he was part of a newly created value engineering group that reviewed all state projects to ensure the most efficient construction methods were being employed in the design. Throughout this time, Robert managed real estate development projects, mainly on the Sussex County, Delaware family farm. He also invested in rental properties, both residential and commercial. Many of the business properties Robert still oversees are part of his family's corporation.

Through all the various employment experiences, he has always maintained an interest in helping others develop their skills and advance their successes. He has also contributed for many years to different projects in Brazil, aiding a medical clinic in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. In the years since the earthquake in Haiti in 2010, Robert has partnered with various individuals and groups to help establish vocational training to improve the building and construction quality in Haiti by training the local builders in construction skills according to The International Building Code, as well as teaching proper business skills and money management. Through his work in Haiti, Robert met John Wicks, and the genesis of Foundation Builders International was birthed.
